The Arkansas No. 2 Yellow Corn Cash Market lost 5 cents over the past weekend and drifted lower through most of the remaining trading days (Figure 1). Price opened on Monday at $3.38, exactly equal to the statewide average opening price of the previous week Monday trading. The price losses on most days of trading left the market at a Friday closing statewide average of $3.31, an overall 12 cent loss from the previous week closing average. Highest daily individual market price for the past week was $3.47 at Osceola on Monday. Low quote of the week was $3.17 at Little Rock on both Thursday and Friday. Price quotes were received daily from only three individual markets as Pine
Bluff did not submit a quote on Friday. Closing prices on Friday across the three reporting markets ranged from the low of $3.17 at Little Rock to a high of $3.40 at Osceola. The closing range of 23 cents was 5 cents wider than the previous week.
