The past week in the Arkansas No. 2 Yellow Corn Cash Market was mostly steady through Thursday (Figure 1). No report will be issued by USDA-AMS on Friday or the coming Monday. The market opened on Monday at a statewide average of $3.96, a 7 cent improvement from the previous week opening day average and 1 cent under the previous week closing average. Price lost 2 more cents on Tuesday before gaining 5 cents on Wednesday and giving 4 cents back on Thursday. The closing statewide average on Thursday was $3.95, a 2 cent decline for the week compared to the previous week close. Highest daily individual market price for the short week was $4.08 at Pine Bluff on Wednesday. Low quote of the week was $3.70 at Little Rock on Thursday. Closing prices on Thursday ranged from the low of $3.70 at Little Rock to a high of $4.05 at Pine Bluff. The closing range of 35 cents was unchanged from the previous two weeks. Five markets provided price quotes on each day of the past week.
