The first full 2020 trading week for Arkansas No. 2 Yellow Corn Cash Market saw price stay within a narrow 2 cent range without a clear future movement direction (Figure 1). The market opened on Monday at a statewide average of $3.98, a 1 cent decline from the previous week closing average. Price fluctuated between 1 cent over and 1 cent under this level before closing on Friday at a statewide average of $3.99. The closing price left the market unchanged from the previous week close. Highest daily individual market price for the past week was $4.14 at Pine Bluff on Friday. Low quote of the week was $3.73 at Little Rock on Thursday. Closing prices on Friday ranged from a low of $3.76 at Little Rock to the high of $4.14 at Pine Bluff. The closing range of 38 cents was 8 cents wider than the previous week. Seven markets provided price quotes each trading day of the past week.
