The Arkansas 2018 No. 2 Yellow Corn Cash Market enjoyed a stable week of trading over the past week with some strength shown on the back end (Figure 1). The market opened on Monday at a statewide average of $3.80, just 1 cent under both the opening day price of the previous week and the last trading day prior to the weekend. Price gained 3 cents on Tuesday before giving it back and more on Wednesday. The market enjoyed solid gains on the last two trading days of the week and closed on Friday at a statewide average of $3.87, an overall gain of 6 cents for the week. Highest daily individual market price for the past week was $3.93 at Helena on Friday. Low quote of the week was $3.61 at Little Rock on Wednesday. Closing prices on Friday ranged from a low of $3.71 at Little Rock to the high of $3.93 at Helena, a 22 cent range and unchanged from the previous week. Six markets provided price quotes each day of the past week.
