The past week of reporting for the Arkansas 2018 No. 2 Yellow Corn Cash Market followed a three day lapse in reporting due to the Thanksgiving Day holiday break. The market opened on Monday at a statewide average of $3.81, unchanged compared to the last trading day prior to the break. Price gained 7 cents on Tuesday before gradually giving up exactly all of that gain by the Friday close (Figure 1). The Friday statewide average to close this week stood at the same $3.81 level that opened the week and unchanged from pre-Thanksgiving. Highest daily individual market price for the past week was $3.94 at Blytheville and Osceola on Tuesday. Low quote of the week was $3.67 at Little Rock on both Thursday and Friday. Closing prices on Friday ranged from the low of $3.67 at Little Rock to a high of $3.89 at Osceola, a 22 cent range.
