Cash trading in Arkansas yellow corn began the month of November slightly lower as price lost 5 cents from the last October trading day. Price quotes on November 1 had the statewide average at $3.93, a 7 cent improvement over the first October trading day. Price slowly declined throughout the month reaching a low statewide average of $3.77 by November 18 before stabilizing. A slight improvement over the last six trading days lifted the statewide average (Figure 1). The market closing price of $3.81 on the last reporting day left the statewide average with an overall loss of 17 cents for the month compared to the last October trading day average. The high individual daily quote of the month occurred on November 1 as Old Town/Elaine reported a quote of $3.99. The low individual daily market quote was $3.67 at Little Rock on November 20. The overall statewide average for November was $3.83 for the No. 2 yellow corn crop, a decrease of 4 cents from the October monthly average. Arkansas Cash Market Corn spanning the first eleven months of 2019 remains at an average of $3.85 per bushel.
