The Arkansas 2019 New Crop Soybean Cash Market had a short report for the past week as USDA-AMS cancelled reports for Thursday and Friday preceding the Columbus Day holiday on Monday. The weekend saw 2019 soybeans lose 1 cent, but trading posted solid gains on both Tuesday and Wednesday (Figure 1). 2019 crop beans opened the past week at $8.80 on Monday, a 16 cent improvement over the previous week opening day price.  The subsequent daily gains lifted price to a Wednesday closing statewide average of $8.91, an even 10 cents above the previous week closing level.  High daily individual market quote of the past week was $9.13 on Wednesday at Osceola.  Low quote of the week was $8.68 on Monday at Jonesboro.  End-of-the-week quotes for the early close saw prices ranging from a low of $8.77 at Jonesboro to the high of $9.13 at Osceola.  The ending quotes range was 36 cents, 9 cents wider than the previous week.  The market again received price quotes each day of the past week from thirteen locations.
