As a general rule, university enterprise budgets reflect expected income and costs based on typical production practices in the region. The values included should be used as a guide. Growers are encouraged to use their own values for inputs, yields, and commodity prices when looking at the potential costs and returns.
Findings from University of Arkansas field studies done in the 2018 and 2019 growing season indicate that winter varieties of canola can perform well under a variety of environmental conditions. For producers who wish to incorporate alternative crops into their rotation, winter canola may be a good candidate.
