The Arkansas 2018 No. 2 Yellow Corn Cash Market had a fairly steady week. A weekend gain of 5 cents allowed the market to open this past Monday at $3.58, an improvement of 22 cents over the previous week opening day price. The market stayed within a 2 cent span for most trading days (Figure 1). Price ended the week at a statewide average of $3.58, an overall 5 cent gain from the previous week closing mark. Highest daily individual market price for the week was $3.75 at Pine Bluff on Monday. The low quote of the week was $3.38 at Old Town/Elaine on Tuesday. Closing day prices ranged from a low of $3.46 at Old Town/Elaine to a high of $3.71 at Pine Bluff. The 25 cent range was 5 cents narrower than the previous week closing range. Seven markets provided price quotes each day of the week.
