This Arkansas Corn Cash Market Report was not published last week as USDA-NASS only published one report in that week. The Arkansas 2018 No. 2 Yellow Corn Cash Market opened on the past Monday at $3.36, a decline of 13 cents from the August 30 price to end that week. The market had a generally upward trend for the past trading week and peaked with the closing average on Friday (Figure 1). Price ended the week at a statewide average of $3.53. Highest daily individual market price over the week was $3.77 at Pine Bluff on Thursday. The low quote of the week was $3.24 at Old Town/Elaine on Monday. Closing day prices ranged from a low of $3.39 at Old Town/Elaine to a high of $3.69 at Pine Bluff. Individual market reporting strengthened over the week of trading as seven markets provided price quotes each day of the week. The ending quotes range of 30 cents was unchanged from several previous weeks.
(Market average prices stated in this report are unweighted averages of the state markets surveyed by NASS. Price data was based on USDA LR GR111 Arkansas Daily Grain Reports.)
