In the south, fields are maturing fast. The Jefferson County field has reached hard dough with 20% grain moisture on 8/16. Rice stink bugs (RSB) have leveled off and four fields have now been sprayed including Chicot, Jefferson and Arkansas and Monroe. Disease pressure remains at low levels.
In the north, no treatment for rice stink bugs (RSB) was needed this week. Randolph has reached 60% hard dough (H D) and is close to being drained. No program field is currently at risk of significant economic damage from sheath blight.
