In the south, Sheath blight levels are low in all fields as of now. The Jefferson County field is the only one sprayed for rice stink bugs (RSB) so far. Most fields are between the late boot to 50% heading stage.
In the north, Jackson, Lawrence and Woodruff are beginning to head but not quite enough by this report to start rice stink bug (RSB) sweeps. Sheath blight levels remain low plus all lesions found this week were in an obvious state of decline, most likely due to cool nighttime temps.
