The past trading week began with the Arkansas 2018 No. 2 Yellow Corn Cash Market holding steady over the weekend to open on Monday at a statewide average of $4.22. The market then proceeded to post gains on each trading day of the past week, eventually reaching a statewide average of $ 4.58 on Friday (Figure 1). The weekly trading gave the market an overall gain of 36 cents compared to the previous week closing day statewide average. Highest daily individual market price over the past week was $4.76 at Osceola on Friday. Low quote of the week was $4.01 at Little Rock on Monday. The closing day prices ranged from a low of $4.38 at Little Rock to the high of $4.76 at Osceola. These ending quotes represented a range of 38 cents, 3 cents wider than the previous week closing range. Only five markets continued to provide daily price quotes for the past week.
