May 16: Crop Insurance “Late Planting Period” Ends for Corn in Northeast Arkansas

For nine (9) northeast Arkansas counties (shown in the table below) the crop insurance “Late Planting Period” ends Thursday, May 16th. Corn planted after this date will not be insurable. Also, growers intending to file for a “Prevented Planting” payment will need to do so within 72 hours of the end of the “Late Planting Period”. Visit with your crop insurance agent if you are considering “Prevented Planting”.
