Corn “Late Planting Period” ends Friday (May 10) for most counties.
Author: Scott Stiles, Extension Economist

For the majority of counties in Arkansas, the crop insurance “Late Planting Period” for corn ends Friday May 10. This applies to counties that have an April 25 “Final Planting Date”.

For counties in northeast Arkansas with a May 1 “Final Planting Date”, the “Late Planting Period” ends May 16.

The stated deadline to file a Prevented Planting (PP) claim is 72 hours after the “Late Planting Period” ends.   Check with your crop insurance agent.
