The Arkansas 2018 No. 2 Yellow Corn Cash Market had a short trading week with no reports on Thursday and Friday. Price rose 1 cent over the weekend and then moved slightly lower for the remainder of the short week (Figure 1). Corn opened on Monday at $3.69, 1 cent over the previous Monday level. A consecutive 3 cent losses on Tuesday and Wednesday took the market to an early closing statewide average of $3.65 on Wednesday. Highest daily individual market price over the past week was $3.88 at Pine Bluff on Monday. Low quote of the week was $3.43 at Little Rock on Wednesday. The closing day prices ranged from the low of $3.43 at Little Rock to a high of $3.83 at Pine Bluff. These ending quotes represented a range of 40 cents, unchanged for the third consecutive week. The market regained the West Memphis quotes this week and had quotes from five markets each day.
