The Arkansas 2018 No. 2 Yellow Corn Cash Market had a rather uneventful week. Price declined 2 cents over the weekend and then traded all week within a 2 cent span (Figure 1). Corn opened on Monday at $3.68, 1 cent over the previous Monday level, and ended the trading week there, 2 cents under the previous Friday closing statewide average. Highest daily individual market price over the past week was $3.87 at Pine Bluff on Wednesday. Low quote of the week was $3.45 at Little Rock on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Closing day prices ranged from a low of $3.46 at Little Rock to a high of $3.86 at Pine Bluff. These ending quotes represented a range of 40 cents, unchanged for the second consecutive week. The market remained “thin” as just four markets continued to provide price quotes this week.
