The Arkansas 2018 No. 2 Yellow Corn Cash Market gained 3 cents over the weekend from the previous Friday closing price, but had a slow, steady decline through the remainder of the week (Figure 1). The market opened on Monday at a statewide average of $3.78, 3 cents under the previous week opening day. Price then fell daily to a $3.67 daily statewide average on Friday, 8 cents under the previous Friday closing price. Highest daily individual market price over the past week was $3.91 at Pine Bluff on Tuesday, the second straight week without a plus-$4.00 individual daily quote. Low quote of the week was $3.49 at Little Rock on Friday. Closing day prices ranged from the low of $3.49 at Little Rock to a high of $3.79 at Pine Bluff. These ending quotes represented a range of 30 cents, unchanged from the previous week closing range. Four locations provided quotes each trading day of the past week, the only reporting markets.
