Market information was limited for the Arkansas 2018 No. 2 Yellow Corn Cash Market as USDA-AMS observed Presidents’ Day holiday on Monday and no report was published on Friday. The market lost 5 cents over the extended weekend from the previous Friday closing price. Midweek daily gains lifted price to its previous week closing level by the last reporting day (Figure 1). Trading opened on Tuesday at a statewide average of $3.81, down 1 cent from the previous week opening day. Price then posted gains on both Wednesday and Thursday to reach a closing average of $3.86, unchanged from the previous Friday closing price. Highest daily individual market price over the past week was $4.01 at Pine Bluff on Thursday. Low quote of the week was $3.55 at Little Rock on Tuesday. Thursday closing day prices ranged from a low of $3.61 at Little Rock to the high of $4.01 at Pine Bluff. These ending quotes represented a range of 40 cents, unchanged from the previous week closing range. End-of-the-week quotes were provided by only five markets as Blytheville ended submissions after Tuesday.
