The Arkansas 2018 No. 2 Yellow Corn Cash Market lost 2 cents over the weekend from the previous Friday closing price. The market moved higher to midweek before suffering a Thursday decline that held steady on Friday (Figure 1). Trading opened on Monday at a statewide average of $3.82, down 6 cents from the previous week opening day. Price rose a total of 7 cents through Wednesday before giving almost half back on Thursday. A steady trading day on Friday left the market at $3.86 for a closing average, 2 cents over the closing mark on the previous Friday. Highest daily individual market price over the past week was $4.04 at Pine Bluff on Wednesday. Low quote of the week was $3.58 at Little Rock on Monday. Friday closing day prices ranged from a low of $3.60 at Little Rock to a high of $4.00 at Pine Bluff. These ending quotes represented a range of 40 cents, 3 cents wider than the previous week closing range. End-of-the-week quotes were provided by six markets.
