The Arkansas 2018 No. 2 Yellow Corn Cash Market gained 3 cents over the weekend from the previous Friday closing price. Market movement through the remainder of the week stayed within an overall 6 cent range (Figure 1). Trading opened on Monday at a statewide average of $3.88, up 5 cents from the previous week opening day. Price rose 2 cents on Tuesday before declining each of the remaining trading days of the week. Friday saw the market at $3.84 for a closing average, 1 cent under the closing mark on the previous Friday. Highest daily individual market price over the past week was $4.02 at Pine Bluff on Tuesday. Low quote of the week was $3.59 at Little Rock on Friday. End-of-the-week quotes were provided by six markets as Blytheville, West Memphis, and Osceola resumed providing quotes. Friday closing day prices ranged from the low of $3.59 at Little Rock to a high of $3.96 at Pine Bluff. These ending quotes represented a range of 37 cents, 2 cents wider than the previous week closing range.
