The Arkansas 2018 No. 2 Yellow Corn Cash Market had an extended weekend prior to the past trading week in observance of the Martin Luther King Holiday. Price fell 3 cents over the weekend from the previous Friday closing price. Market movement through the remainder of the week stayed within a 4 cent range (Figure 1). Trading opened on Tuesday at a statewide average of $3.79. Price movements did not exceed 3 cents until Friday when a 4 cent rise returned the market to exactly its closing average on the previous Friday. Highest daily individual market price over the past week was $3.95 at Pine Bluff on Friday. Low quote of the week was $3.62 at Little Rock on Thursday. End-of-the-week quotes saw Friday closing day prices ranging from a low of $3.65 at Little Rock to the high of $3.95 at Pine Bluff. These ending quotes represented a range of 30 cents, unchanged for the second consecutive week from the previous week closing range. Seven markets continued to provide price quotes throughout the past week.
