The Arkansas 2018 No. 2 Yellow Corn Cash Market had another short week of trading due to the Thanksgiving Day holidays on Thursday and Friday. The market lost 3 cents over the previous weekend and opened on Monday at a statewide average of $3.62, a decline of 6 cents from the previous week opening day average. Price varied no more than 1 cent from the opening level on all three trading days of the past week. The market closed on Wednesday at a statewide daily average of $3.62 (Figure 1). The closing average price left the market 3 cents under the previous Friday closing statewide average. Highest daily individual market price over the past week was $3.68 at Helena on both Monday and Wednesday. Low quote of the week was $3.56 at Old Town/Elaine on Tuesday. End-of-the-week quotes saw Wednesday closing day prices ranging from a low of $3.57 at Old Town/Elaine to the high of $3.68 at Helena. The ending quotes represented a range of 11 cents, unchanged compared to the previous week closing range. The same five individual markets continued to provide price quotes throughout this week.
