The Arkansas 2018 No. 2 Yellow Corn Cash Market remained basically unchanged over the weekend prior to this past trading week and opened on Monday at a statewide average of $3.66, an improvement of 7 cents over the previous Monday opening average. From Monday, price trended slightly lower each day reaching the weekly low daily average of $3.58 on Friday (Figure 1). The closing average price left the market 8 cents under the previous Friday closing statewide average. Highest daily individual market price over the past week was $3.78 at Little Rock on Monday. Low quote of the week was $3.40 at Blytheville on Tuesday. The Blytheville market daily quote movements varied somewhat from the other state markets, although it closed the week with roughly the same overall outcome. End-of-the-week quotes saw Friday closing day prices ranging from a $3.50 low at Blytheville to a high of $3.67 at Little Rock. The ending quotes represented a range of 17 cents, just a 1 cent narrowing compared to the previous week closing range. The same five individual markets continued to provide price quotations throughout the past week.
