Author: Glenn Studebaker, Extension Entomologist/IPM Coordinator

Bollworm Trap
Weekly pheromone trap catches by county are reported in the graphs below. Trap numbers are increasing in most areas of the state. It looks like another big flight is beginning. Growers are encouraged to monitor crops that are susceptible to attack, particularly soybeans, cotton, peanuts and grain sorghum. Treatment thresholds and recommended insecticides can be found in Extension publication MP144 “Insecticide Recommendations for Arkansas”.
