USDA Posts 2016 ARC-CO Payment Spreadsheet Online
Author: Scott Stiles, Extension Economist

The USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) has released 2016 county yields and national marketing year average prices for corn, soybeans, wheat and grain sorghum for calculating Agricultural Risk Coverage – County Coverage (ARC-CO) payments.

Payment information is available at this link on the USDA FSA’s website:  2014 – 2016 ARC-County Yields, Revenue and Payment Rates as of October 4, 2017

ARC-CO is a county revenue program that makes payments when actual county revenue is below a guarantee set at 86% of a benchmark revenue. ARC-CO uses county average yields and national marketing-year-average (MYA) prices in the calculation of actual and benchmark revenues.

As was the case for 2014 and 2015 payments, 2016 ARC-CO payments will be reduced 6.8% due to the sequester requirement contained in the 2011 Budget Control Act. The sequester reduction is not incorporated into the payments shown in the FSA’s spreadsheet available at the link shown above.
