South Arkansas: Seven of nine fields have been harvested with yields all over the board ranging from excellent to poor. Prairie County was excellent as well as the Jefferson County row-water field. The Clark County field encountered severe blast and had a lot of blank heads. The Desha County yield is pending waiting on scale tickets. Arkansas and Pulaski Counties are waiting on harvest.
North Arkansas: Woodruff, St. Francis and White were harvested this week. We don’t have enough data in hand yet to calculate exact yields but, overall, rough estimates based on cart loads and yield monitors look good. Four of the remaining 5 fields could potentially be harvested by this time next week. All fields remain standing at this time and there are no significant late-season disease issues.
