South Arkansas: Two fields were sprayed for stink bugs this past week. Clark County reached threshold levels and was sprayed for the first time. Prairie County reached a 2x threshold and has now been sprayed for the second time. Prairie, Lincoln and Lafayette Counties are draining and should be the first to be harvested weather permitting.
North Arkansas: Randolph reached boot split to early heading this week and has received a rice blast prevention treatment. All other fields are headed with some reaching hard dough on the tips of the heads. Rice stink bug numbers are low in all fields. Disease pressure is also low.
