Arkansas soybean market reports for Feb. 27 – March 10, 2017 and Feb. summary

Feb. 27-March 3, 2017 markets and February summary:  The Arkansas 2016 Soybean Cash Market lost 2 cents over the past weekend, but an early week of gains carried the market higher and most of the gains were held through the remainder of the trading week.  The market opened on Monday at a statewide average of $10.03, a decline of 16 cents from the prior week opening price.  The market gained 14 cents and 11 cents on the following respective days to reach a midweek peak of $10.28 before giving back 7 and 2 cents on the last two days to close on Friday at $10.19, a 14 cent gain from the previous Friday closing price.  Read more about the markets and view charts:  March 3, 2017 SOYBEAN NOTES with February monthly summaries

The Arkansas 2016 Soybean Cash Market held steady over the past weekend, but price proceeded to move steadily lower throughout the week.  The market opened on Monday at a statewide average of $10.19, a margin of 16 cents over the prior week opening price.  But the market lost 4, 3, 10, and 2 cents on the following days to a closing level of $9.90 on Friday, a loss of 29 cents from the previous Friday closing price.  Read more about the markets and view charts: March 10, 2017 SOYBEAN NOTES
