Arkansas soybean market report for Nov. 10-14, 2014

The past week of trading for the 2014 crop AR cash soybean market began with an 8 cent weekend decline that placed the Monday statewide average at $10.39. After trading was suspended on Tuesday for the Veterans Day holiday, Wednesday and Thursday took the market price to a high of $10.66. A major correction on Friday erased all of the gains in the week and dropped market price to a $10.34 average, an overall loss of 13 cents from the previous Friday closing mark (Figure 1). High individual daily market quote for the week was $10.96 at West Memphis on Thursday. Old Town/Elaine followed closely at $10.94. The low for the week occurred on Friday with $10.08 reported at Wynne. The Friday closing price ranged from the low of $10.08 at Wynne to a high of $10.63 at Old Town/Elaine. These end-of-week quotes put the market price range at 55 cents, a 2 cent expansion over the previous end-of-week gap.
