Arkansas soybean market report for Nov. 3-7, 2014
Author: Bob Stark, Agricultural Economist

The outlook appeared troublesome for the 2014 crop AR cash soybean market this past week as a 15 cent weekend decline that placed the Monday statewide average at $10.37 continued through Tuesday trading to a $10.20 average. But the market regained energy each remaining day of the week and regained almost all of the weekend and early week losses (Figure 1). The market closed on Friday at $10.47, an overall 5 cent loss from the previous Friday closing mark. High individual daily market quote for the week was $10.75 at West Memphis on Friday. The low for the week occurred on Tuesday with $9.95 reported at Wynne, the only individual daily market quote under $10.00 during the week. The Friday closing price ranged from a low of $10.22 at Wynne to the high of $10.75 at West Memphis. These end-of-week quotes put the market price range at 53 cents, a 5 cent expansion over the previous end-of-week gap.
