Arkansas Rice Update
March 7, 2013
The first Arkansas Rice Update of 2013 includes information on the N-STaR program and rice quality. Dr. Trent Roberts and I have received requests to widely distribute information we have presented at meetings to ensure everyone has a chance to view it. To meet those requests, please follow the links below for slide sets with notes from the authors:
An additional note on N-STaR sampling from Dr. Trent Roberts, Assistant Professor of Soil Fertility/Testing, email@example.com :
“I have been hearing rumors that producers are interested in using the N-STaR program for rice, but are unable to find consultants, etc., to take the N-STaR soil samples. I have a list of a few people who are willing to take N-STaR soil samples. So if you know of any producers that are interested in the program that need soil samples taken PLEASE contact me or get the producers in touch with me so that we can get them the help they need. I am also going to be writing a series of blog posts and Delta Farm Press articles regarding N-STaR – if there are any issues that you would like me to specifically address in these please feel free to let me know and I will give it my best shot.”
Please let us know if we can help and best of luck as we get started this growing season.
