The 2012 Cotton Research Verification Program Annual Report is now available on the University of Arkansas Extension website. It can be viewed by clicking on the publications tab and searching for the title listed above.
In 2012 there were seven fields entered into the Cotton Research Verification Program (CRVP). Locations included the following counties: Clay, Craighead, Mississippi, St. Francis, Lee, Phillips and Jefferson Counties. The average field size was 50 acres and the average yield of the program was 1110 lbs./acre. The top yielding field in the program in 2012 was in Craighead County (1401 lbs./ac)
In addition to the standard topics that are covered in the program, the PHAUCET program and atmometers (ET gauges) were used to increase irrigation efficiency.
