Corn and Grain Sorghum Research Verification Program Weekly Update – July 2, 2012
Author: Kevin Lawson, Program Associate - Corn & Grain Sorghum Verification

Corn – The corn fields continue to receive irrigations, but most of the fields are coming down to the end of irrigation.  Irrigation termination decisions will be made in the next two weeks.  Southern rust is still very light in the fields and fungicide is not recommended.

Grain Sorghum – Scouting for headworms is the major operation going on in the grain sorghum fields.  So far the counts have been very light.  We will continue to scout this week.
