Corn – All of the fields received rain this past week. Rain totals ranged from 0.20 inches in Clay County to 2.10 inches in Poinsett County. Most of the fields called for the next irrigation on June 9. All of the fields except Clay and Lawrence/Randolph have tasseled and pollinated good. Clay and Lawrence/Randolph should be tasseling the week of June 11th.
Grain Sorghum – Both fields received a rain, with the non irrigated field in St Francis County receiving 1.60 inches. Both fields are at boot and should be heading the week of June 11th. Scouting for midge will start at the next field visit.
