Corn – All of the fields have received fertilizer for the year. The fields are in great shape and continue to receive irrigations. Desha and Prairie counties have moved to VT growth stage and will be pollinating during cool weather which is a plus. Drew, Arkansas and Poinsett counties should be tasseling next week.
Grain Sorghum – The grain sorghum fields still continue to look good. The field in St. Francis County is non-irrigated and received a very timely rain on May 31. The field in Desha County received the second irrigation and looks good.
