There are 10 out of 11 verification fields planted in South Arkansas. The rainfall that came through in the Southeast corner of the state ranged from 2-4 inches. Areas of East Arkansas were flushing rice for herbicide activation and emergence. Hopefully the rain that came through last night was widespread enough to shut off all the wells. With the spike in urea prices, rice acres have been cut and going to soybeans. Armyworms are moving from adjacent wheat fields into emerged rice, especially where there is winter vegetation.
