Soybean Research Verification Program Update – August 1, 2011
Author: Chris Grimes, Program Associate - Soybean/Wheat Verification Coordinator

Bollworm levels have increased drastically in some of the verification fields in the past 10-14 days. See Dr. Gus Lorenz’s post on the bolloworm situation in soybean featured in this week’s Arkansas Row Crops e-newsletter and on www.arkansascrops.com for more information on treating for bollworm infestations.

Insects, weeds and irrigation continue to be on the forefront of the activities in the Soybean Research Verification Program. So far, disease pressure hasn’t been a problem in any of the fields in the program.
